DELTECH ELEMENT; CARBON BAG - 120KIT
Replacement activated carbon bag element for the Deltech 120KIT service kit. A carbon element does a different job from coalescing media. Instead of catching liquid droplets, the carbon bed adsorbs oil vapor and hydrocarbon odor that stays in the gas phase and would otherwise pass straight through a mechanical filter.
Because activated carbon loads up fast if it sees bulk liquid, a carbon stage always belongs downstream of good coalescing filtration. Replacing the carbon on schedule matters more than it does with other elements, since a saturated bed gives no visible warning and simply stops adsorbing.
