This adsorber element is an equivalent to Deltech FE625-WV-Z and fits the housing the original part was specified for. Adsorber elements hold a bed of media that pulls oil vapour and odour out of a compressed air stream, addressing the contamination that liquid-stage filtration leaves behind.
Adsorption is a different job from coalescence. A coalescing filter removes droplets; an adsorber removes what is still in the vapour phase, which is why the two are normally installed in series with the coalescing stage first. The adsorber only works properly if the air reaching it is already free of bulk liquid.
