The Conrader SU3 cold start valve bleeds air from the compressor head during the first few revolutions of startup, reducing the motor's starting torque. It's the simple, reliable fix for oil-lubed pumps that are subject to low temperatures and low starting voltages — for example a contractor unit that sits outside overnight and runs off a long extension cord.
Machined from solid C360 brass with a stainless steel spring and Viton O-ring, the SU3 threads directly into the head or unloader port and includes an in-line check function. It's a compact, maintenance-free way to ensure hard-starting compressors turn over cleanly in cold weather.
