The Conrader CVR Series is a brass, field-adjustable vacuum relief valve used to protect vacuum pumps and vacuum systems by capping the maximum vacuum level. It is a proportional (modulating) valve rather than a pop-type safety valve — as system vacuum approaches the set point, the valve bleeds in atmospheric air to hold the system at a safe, repeatable level.
Key specifications
- Brass body construction
- Male NPT (MNPT) inlet — available in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", and 1"
- Field-adjustable vacuum set point across a 0–28" Hg range
- Proportional / modulating relief — not a code (ASME-stamped) pop safety valve
- Operating temperature range approximately -65°F to 250°F
- Non-code: intended for vacuum-level protection, not ASME pressure relief
Typical applications
Vacuum pumps, vacuum tanks and reservoirs, vacuum packaging and material-handling systems, and any process where the vacuum level must be limited to protect downstream equipment.
Select the MNPT size that matches your port. The Conrader CVR brass vacuum relief valve provides a durable, adjustable, non-code solution for maintaining a safe vacuum level across small to large pumps.
