Element KPFEK085AAYE-CB is a direct replacement coalescing element for K145AA filter housings. A coalescing element works by forcing the airstream through fine borosilicate media so that suspended oil and water droplets merge into larger drops, which then drain out of the housing sump instead of travelling downstream.
Coalescing filtration is what protects air tools, cylinders, and instrumentation from oil carryover, and it is the stage most often neglected. As the element loads, pressure drop climbs and efficiency falls, so replace it on the manufacturer's interval rather than waiting for visible carryover.
