A replacement air/oil separator element crossed to Chicopee Engineering CEA57, supplied under Air Supply Number KV60-027. It handles the same final oil recovery duty as the original part.
Separator elements blind off gradually rather than failing outright, so the early signs are a rising pressure drop across the separator tank, oil top-ups arriving sooner than they used to, and traces of oil in downstream filter bowls. Each hour a loaded element stays in service costs extra energy.
Fit the new element with fresh compressor oil and a new oil filter, and confirm the scavenge line and orifice are clear. More crossovers are listed in our air/oil separators range, and the machines they serve are grouped under rotary screw air compressors.
