A replacement air/oil separator crossed to Chicopee Engineering CEA1418, listed here under Air Supply Number KV470-004. It is a direct service item for the separator stage of a lubricated rotary screw package.
The element works by coalescing suspended oil droplets out of the discharge air and returning them to the sump through the scavenge line. As the media loads up, pressure drop rises and carryover starts, so a separator that is left too long quietly raises both energy cost and downstream filter loading.
