A replacement air/oil separator crossed to Chicago Pneumatic 6219-0983-00. Separators handle the last stage of oil recovery in a lubricated rotary screw compressor, coalescing fine oil mist out of the discharge air so it drains back to the sump instead of carrying into the plant.
Watch for climbing differential pressure across the separator housing, unexplained oil top-ups, or oil showing up in downstream filter bowls. Any of those point at a separator that is due. Fit a fresh one and check that the scavenge line and its orifice are clear at the same time.
