The Champion XCHP Series is an X-Series twin-tower heated purge regenerative desiccant air dryer offered in ten capacities from 150 to 1200 SCFM, delivering a -40°F (-40°C) pressure dew point at a maximum working pressure of 150 psig. An external heater conditions the regeneration air, so the XCHP restores its offline desiccant bed on a fraction of the compressed air a heatless dryer throws away. On a plant running two or three shifts, that reclaimed purge air is compressor horsepower you already paid to produce.

Heatless or Heated Purge: Where the XCHP Pays
Every regenerative desiccant dryer has to get the water back out of the offline tower. A heatless dryer does it with pressure alone, expanding a slice of its own dried outlet air to atmosphere and sweeping it back through the bed. It is simple and dependable, and it is also why a heatless dryer consumes a meaningful percentage of its rated flow around the clock.
The XCHP puts an external electric heater in that regeneration path. Hot purge air strips moisture out of the desiccant far more aggressively than ambient-temperature purge air, so the dryer needs much less of it to accomplish the same regeneration. You trade a modest electrical load for compressed air you stop venting, and at 150 SCFM and up that trade usually runs strongly in your favor.
