Genuine Champion CFL Series Grade D replacement filter elements, part numbers CF20DE through CF780DE, for the full range of Champion CFL Grade D dry particulate afterfilters from 20 to 780 SCFM. Grade D media captures desiccant dust and dry particulate down to 1 micron and is built for outside-to-inside flow, which is what makes it the correct element for the outlet of a desiccant dryer.
Select the element that matches your housing size from the dropdown above.
Which Element Do I Need?
Match the element to the flow number in your housing part number. A CFL170DG housing takes a CF170DE element regardless of which indicator or connection options were specified at order entry.

Service Interval
Replace annually, or whenever the differential pressure indicator shows a 5 PSID rise above clean, whichever comes first. Check more often in the first weeks after a desiccant dryer is commissioned or recharged, because a fresh bed sheds noticeably more dust while the beads polish against each other. If the indicator is climbing fast on a mature dryer, that is a signal worth investigating: it usually means the bed is breaking down and the desiccant itself is due for replacement.
Do not blow the element out and reuse it. Back-blowing drives fines deeper into the media and can rupture it. Do not substitute a Grade C element either; it fits the family but runs the wrong flow direction for dust service and will plug much sooner. Always depressurize before servicing: isolate the filter and bleed it to zero pressure before opening the bowl. We are a full-line source for Champion desiccant dryers and their service parts.
Why Genuine Champion Elements
The Grade D element is specifically built to load dust on its outer surface. An element intended for inside-to-outside coalescing service, installed in the same bowl, presents a fraction of the dirt-holding area to the dust and plugs in a fraction of the time. Genuine Champion elements hold the rated 1 micron performance and keep the housing warranty intact.
