BRASS HEX REDUCING BUSHINGS
Step down from a larger pipe or port to a smaller one with a solid brass hex reducing bushing. Machined from corrosion-resistant brass with tapered NPT threads, these bushings give you a tight, leak-resistant seal between a male (MNPT) and a smaller female (FNPT) connection — a simple way to adapt thread sizes on air compressors, pneumatic tools, and shop plumbing.
Key features
- Solid brass construction — corrosion-resistant and durable for compressed-air, hydraulic, and general plumbing service.
- Male x female NPT — larger male NPT on the outside, smaller female NPT on the inside to reduce thread size.
- Hex body — wrench flats let you torque the fitting down for a secure, sealed joint.
- 15 size combinations — from 1/4" down to 1/8", up through 1" reductions, so you can match almost any port.
Typical applications
Air compressor main-line and tank conversions, pneumatic tool and air-hose adapters, pressure-gauge and accessory ports, and any job where you need to connect two NPT threads of different sizes. Use thread sealant or PTFE tape on the male threads for a leak-free install.
Choose your exact MNPT × FNPT size combination from the dropdown. Brass hex reducing bushings are a shop staple — keep the common sizes on hand for fast fitting changes and repairs.
