This equivalent coalescing element replaces BOTTARINI part number 223079. It fits the housing the original was built for and carries the same duty, coalescing suspended oil and water into drops that separate out of the air stream under gravity.
Compressed air leaves a compressor warm and saturated. Even after an aftercooler, what remains in the line is a fine liquid mist that a standard particulate filter will pass straight through. Coalescing media is the stage that deals with it.
