Equivalent coalescing element for Bottarini part 223072, fitted in the corresponding downstream filter housing. Coalescing media traps oil and water aerosol on a fibrous bed and lets the drops merge and drain instead of carrying on downstream.
Filters and dryers do different halves of the same job. A coalescer removes liquid and aerosol. It does nothing about the water vapor still in the air, which is what a dryer handles by lowering the dew point. Systems that keep having moisture problems downstream are often filtered well and dried poorly.
