This is an equivalent coalescing element for BEKO part 10F, listed for the GR 10 filter series. Coalescing media captures oil aerosols and fine liquid droplets by forcing them to merge into drops large enough to fall out of the air stream and collect in the bottom of the housing, where a drain carries them away.
Elements are consumables. Solids gradually plug the media, which raises the pressure drop across the filter and costs the compressor horsepower, and once the media is saturated oil starts to pass downstream. Most plants change coalescing elements about once a year, or sooner if differential pressure reaches the housing limit.
