Equivalent intake air element for Becker part 84040105, used on Gebr. Becker oil-flooded rotary vane vacuum pumps. Its job is simple and unglamorous: hold back the dust drawn in with the process air so it never reaches the rotor slots and the cylinder bore.
Because a vane pump pulls its whole displacement through this element, restriction matters as much as filtration. A dirty element does not usually announce itself. The pump just pulls less vacuum, runs hotter and works its motor harder. Checking the element on a set interval, rather than waiting for a symptom, is the habit that keeps vane and cylinder wear predictable.
Match the number printed on the element in the housing before ordering, as Becker inlet arrangements vary across the range. Related intake media is grouped in air filter elements, and complete filter assemblies in air filters.
