An equivalent replacement air/oil separator element for Becker pump part N09003, listed for oil-flooded Becker rotary vane vacuum pumps and compressors.
Its function is straightforward: strip the oil aerosol out of the air on its way out of the pump, so the oil goes back to the sump and only air leaves the machine. A separator that has done its service life stops holding that line, and the first sign is usually oil mist or staining at the exhaust rather than any warning on the pump itself.
