This is a replacement oil filter element for Bauer and Rotorcomp rotary screw air compressors, offered as an equivalent to OEM number ELM-25. The element captures wear metals, varnish, and other contaminants from the circulating lubricant so clean oil keeps reaching the airend, bearings, and seals.
Oil filters are a routine service item and are normally changed on the same schedule as the rest of the compressor's consumables. Pair a fresh filter with the correct air compressor oil to protect any rotary screw air compressor between service intervals.
