Enclosure and duty
Baldor prints the enclosure on this motor as code OPSB and does not spell the code out. It is an open construction: the data sheet lists no drip cover and no rodent screen, and distributors commonly describe it as open drip proof. If you need a totally enclosed fan cooled motor instead, that is Baldor's C prefix line, a different catalog number.
Baldor lists the EM3116T in its General Purpose product family. It is not a manufacturer designated compressor duty motor. It is widely used on compressor packages, but check full load amps and service factor against your load before specifying it.
