The Atlas Copco WEDA L70N sits in the upper mid-range of Atlas Copco's slurry pump family. With 530 gpm of throughput at heads reaching 81 ft, a 4" NPT discharge, and the engineering DNA that's made the WEDA name standard issue at mines and quarries worldwide, the L70N is built for one job — moving abrasive, solids-laden water in conditions that destroy other pumps.
The Slurry Difference
Slurry pumps are not sludge pumps with bigger motors. The L-series uses a fundamentally different hydraulic design — semi-open multi-vane impeller, urethane-armored wear surfaces in the volute, and a hardened wear plate that's designed to be replaced as a wear part. This is not a contractor's dewatering pump. At 1,750 RPM (vs. 3,500 RPM for the smaller WEDA models), the L70N extracts more head per stage at lower wear, and runs cooler over multi-shift duty cycles.
