The Atlas Copco WEDA L100N sits in the high-flow / lower-head specialist position of Atlas Copco's slurry pump family. With 2,600 gpm of throughput at heads reaching 114 ft, a 6" ANSI flanged discharge, and the engineering DNA that's made the WEDA name standard issue at mines and quarries worldwide, the L100N is built for one job — moving abrasive, solids-laden water in conditions that destroy other pumps.

The Slurry Difference

Slurry pumps are not sludge pumps with bigger motors. The L-series uses a fundamentally different hydraulic design — semi-open multi-vane impeller, urethane-armored wear surfaces in the volute, and a hardened wear plate that's designed to be replaced as a wear part. The slurry L-series prioritizes survival under abrasion — pumping silica-laden water, dredging spoils, mineral process slurry, and quarry runoff for thousands of hours between rebuilds.

• High-chrome cast-iron impeller — multi-vane semi-open design, 65 HRC hardness, profile optimized for solids up to 2.4"
• Polyurethane-armored volute liner providing 3–10x the abrasion life of bare cast iron at the same wall thickness
• Class F motor insulation — operating temperature margin that keeps the pump alive through dry-run, hot-water, and overload moments
• Double mechanical seal in a stainless cartridge running in an oil bath — same field-proven seal architecture as the rest of the WEDA family

Operating Profile

The L100N runs at just 1,150 RPM — one of the slowest in the WEDA family. That's not a power limitation; it's a deliberate engineering choice. Slower shaft speed at high flow extends wear life dramatically and is the right architecture for the high-volume / moderate-head duty profile that defines large dredging and bulk slurry transfer applications.
