AirComParts Red Silicone Rubber Donut Seal for Flexible Compression Pipe Couplers, 3/4 in. to 4 in.
The red silicone donut is the part that actually seals a flexible compression pipe coupler. The coupler body holds the two pipe ends together, the donut does the sealing, and when a joint on a rotary screw installation starts weeping it is almost always the donut that has taken a heat set rather than the coupler. These are the AirComParts red silicone rubber donuts, in nine sizes covering 3/4 in. through 4 in. pipe.
Sizes and inside diameters
- 3/4 in. pipe, 1.050 in. ID (P1301)
- 1 in. pipe, 1.315 in. ID (P1302)
- 1-1/4 in. pipe, 1.660 in. ID (P1303)
- 1-1/2 in. pipe, 1.900 in. ID (P1304)
- 2 in. pipe, 2.375 in. ID (P1305)
- 2-1/2 in. pipe, 2.875 in. ID (P1306)
- 3 in. pipe, 3.500 in. ID (P1307)
- 3-1/2 in. pipe, 4.000 in. ID (P1308)
- 4 in. pipe, 4.500 in. ID (P1309)
How to choose
Order by nominal pipe size. The inside diameter listed is the pipe outside diameter the donut seals against, so a 2 in. coupler takes the 2.375 in. ID donut. If you are rebuilding a run, count the joints and buy one donut per coupler, two if the coupler uses a donut at each end.
Typical applications
Flexible compression pipe couplers on rotary screw compressor discharge and shop air piping, separator tank and aftercooler connections, and any compressed air pipe joint that has to absorb a little vibration and thermal movement. Silicone holds up to the hot, oil-carrying discharge air that hardens ordinary rubber.
AirComParts red silicone rubber donuts are the replacement sealing element for flexible compression pipe couplers on rotary screw air compressors, available for 3/4 in. through 4 in. pipe.
