Replacement bare pistons for Kellogg-American 321, 332, 335, 352, 452 and 462 two-stage air compressor pumps, in low-pressure and high-pressure sizes. Supplied by AirComParts under the ACS Kellogg clone replacement line.

Pistons get replaced for three reasons: a collapsed or cracked ring land, a scored skirt from a bore that was run dry or dirty, and a wallowed wrist pin bore. Any one of them lets the piston rock in the cylinder, which wipes out a fresh ring set within hours and puts a knock into the pump. If the bore itself is still within limits a new piston and ring set will bring the pump back; if it is not, replace the cylinder at the same time.

Supplied bare, without rings

These are bare pistons. Piston rings, wrist pins, needle bearings and gaskets are ordered separately, and a new piston should always go in with a new ring set. The four-cylinder 452 and 462 pumps carry two low-pressure and two high-pressure pistons, so order accordingly.
