ACS Flexible Pipe Joint Coupler for Rotary Screw Air Piping, 1 in. to 4 in.
A flexible compression pipe coupler joins two plain-end pipes without threading, welding or grooving them. The coupler body clamps over both pipe ends and a red silicone rubber donut inside does the sealing, which lets the joint absorb the vibration and thermal movement that a rotary screw package puts into its discharge piping. It is also the fastest way to break a line for service: loosen the coupler, pull the pipe, no pipe wrench and no torch.

Matching donut seals
Each coupler seals on a red silicone rubber donut, sold separately. The donut is the wear part: when a joint starts weeping it is almost always the donut that has taken a heat set, not the coupler body. Pair them like this:
