Replacement cylinder head plate, Kellogg reference 45159, for Kellogg-American 352 and 462 two-stage air compressor pumps. Supplied by AirComParts under the ACS Kellogg clone replacement line.
The head plate sits between the cylinder and the head and carries the valve pockets. It lives in the hottest, highest-pressure part of the pump, and it is the component that distorts when a 352 or 462 has been run with a blocked intercooler, a starved oil feed or a leaking valve. Once the plate is no longer flat the valves will not seat, the head gasket keeps blowing out, and the pump loses pressure under load. A warped or cracked plate cannot be reliably skimmed back into service on these pumps.

Do the whole joint while it is apart
Pulling the plate means pulling the head, so change the plate gasket (AirComParts K4363), the cylinder to head gasket (K4366) and the valve gaskets (K4360 high pressure, K4361 low pressure) at the same time, and fit a new set of valve hold-down screws (K4365). It is a small bill against doing the job twice.
