A worn crankshaft is the point at which a reciprocating pump stops being worth patching. Scored journals chew through rod inserts, knock gets louder under load, and oil pressure and ring-fed lubrication fall away until the pump seizes. Fitting a new crankshaft with fresh inserts and bearings is the difference between a rebuild that lasts and one that comes back apart in a season.

332 or Z332? Check before you order
The Z332 is the later long-stroke version of the 332 and its crankshaft is a different part, Z-38787 rather than 38787. They are not interchangeable. The Z-series casting carries a Z in the pump designation; if your pump is not marked, send us a photo of the crankcase before ordering.
