This air/oil separator (part number 127138-001) is a replacement service element made to fit Quincy rotary screw air compressors. Its job is to strip lubricating oil out of the compressed air before the air leaves the unit, returning that oil to the compressor's circulation system.
A separator left in service too long restricts flow and increases oil carryover, which shortens the life of your downstream air filters and can foul air tools and equipment. Changing it at the interval Quincy recommends keeps your rotary screw air compressor running efficiently and your air clean.
