This interceptor element is supplied as an equivalent for Air Compressor Sales part S1821. It serves as a coarse first stage in the compressed air line, catching bulk liquid and larger particulate ahead of finer filtration so downstream elements are not overwhelmed.
It sits upstream of our finer coalescing filter elements and the housings in our range of coalescing air filters. A well-maintained interceptor stage extends the service life of the coalescing elements behind it.
