What it will run
Finish, brad and framing nailers, staplers, blow guns, tire inflation and small air tools. A 3.4 gallon pancake is a buffer, not a reservoir, so continuous-draw tools such as sanders, grinders and spray guns will outrun it quickly. For those, step up to a twin-tank or a 20 gallon horizontal.
Service notes
Drain the tank after every use, and particularly if it has been living in a truck bed. Small tanks rust out faster than big ones because the same cupful of condensate is a bigger share of the surface. Keep the intake filter clean and do not run it on a long undersized extension cord, which is the fastest way to burn a 115 volt compressor motor.
