The LZB22 uses Atlas Copco's zero-clearance vane motor design in a long, slim hardened steel and aluminium housing, giving a mid-size frame that drops into tight machine layouts without a redesign. Speed is infinitely variable by adjusting inlet pressure or flow, without mechanical governors or electronic drives, and the linear torque-speed curve makes control predictable and repeatable across the working range.

Air consumption at maximum output is 5.3 l/s (11.2 cfm). External parts are hardened steel and aluminium. Inlet hose size 0.3 in, outlet hose size 0.4 in.
