The Atlas Copco LZL35-L-P-AC is a lubrication-free LZL35 six-vane direct-drive air motor with a 5,000 RPM free speed, delivering 5.2 kW (7.0 hp) and 20 Nm (14.7 ft-lb) at its 2,500 RPM max-output point. Fully reversible, standard keyed shaft, 20 kg (44.1 lb).

This build tops out at 5,000 RPM free and does its useful work around 2,500 RPM, where it makes 5.2 kW (7.0 hp). Minimum starting torque is 32 Nm (23.6 ft-lb) and stall torque is 40 Nm (30 ft-lb), so it starts under load and stalls harmlessly rather than tripping. Suited to high-speed pump, blower and fan drives and heavy continuous process duty.

The LZL uses Atlas Copco's six-vane direct-drive motor design, with vane sealing obtained through a combination of vane air pressure and interconnecting pins, so the vanes are seated at start-up and starting torque is repeatable cycle to cycle. Speed and torque are infinitely variable from the air supply, with Atlas rating the LZL for speed regulation down to 10% and torque down to 20% of maximum, without mechanical governors or electronic drives.

Air consumption at maximum output is 130 l/s (275 cfm). External parts are powder coated cast iron. Inlet hose size 1.25 in (32 mm), outlet hose size 1.25 in (32 mm).
