The Atlas Copco LZL05-RL-P-IEC is a lubrication-free, stainless steel LZL05 six-vane direct-drive air motor with a 9,000 RPM free speed, delivering 1.3 kW (1.7 hp) and 2.9 Nm (2.1 ft-lb) at its 4,300 RPM max-output point. Fully reversible, standard keyed shaft, 6.10 kg (13.4 lb).

The LZL uses Atlas Copco's six-vane direct-drive motor design, with vane sealing obtained through a combination of vane air pressure and interconnecting pins, so the vanes are seated at start-up and starting torque is repeatable cycle to cycle. Speed and torque are infinitely variable from the air supply, with Atlas rating the LZL for speed regulation down to 10% and torque down to 20% of maximum, without mechanical governors or electronic drives. The LZL03 and LZL05 are also ready for speed-sensor adaptation, giving closed-loop feedback control without a separate transducer.

Air consumption at maximum output is 37 l/s (78 cfm). External parts are stainless steel. Inlet hose size 0.5 in (13 mm), outlet hose size 1 in (20 mm).
