Compressor condensate isn't just water. On a lubricated machine it carries the oil the compressor runs on, and most sewer authorities won't take it. The Accu-Sep pulls that oil back out of the condensate stream so what leaves the building is water, using gravity and carbon media instead of power.
No electricity, no pump, no moving parts. It sits downstream of your drains and runs around the clock.
Sizing
Seven sizes, 150 through 2,400 CFM. Match the rated CFM to the combined output of every compressor draining into the unit.

*Rated at 90°F and 90% relative humidity, which is close to the worst case any unit will see. Air System Products allows those CFM figures to go up 25 percent on systems running without a refrigerated dryer, since a dryer puts considerably more condensate into the drain line. Dimensions from ASP drawing ASP-COMP-OUTLINE rev A, tolerance plus or minus 0.50 inch.
How it works
- Sediment chamber. Catches rust, scale and dirt before any of it reaches the reservoir.
- Main reservoir. The big one. Slows the flow enough for oil to coagulate and float to the surface.
- Pre-adsorption chamber. Picks up the oil still in solution or carried past stage two.
- Carbon bed. Final polish, down to discharge limits.
Build and service
- All non-corrosive construction
- Three 1/2 inch NPT condensate inlets, so several drains can feed one unit
- Diffuser rotates in 90 degree increments, so the inlets can face wherever the drain lines already run
- Removable access lid for media changes
- Translucent oil container, so collected oil is visible without opening the unit
- Red flow indicator that tells you service is due
- Two sample jars included for spot-checking the discharge
Replacement media comes as a kit: carbon bag, pre-adsorption bag, inlet diffuser element and separation element. Kits run ASP-KIT15 through ASP-KIT240, one per size. See the Accu-Sep media kits.
When this isn't the right unit
Gravity separation only works on oils that will release from water and float. Some lubricants stay emulsified and carry straight through. If your compressors run on different oils, or you aren't sure yours will break, Air System Products points to the Accu-Zorb instead, which is built to process multiple oil types at once. Tell us what lubricant you're running and we'll say which family fits.
