The ABAC AS-25503TMD is a complete 25 HP compressed air station on one skid: a rotary screw air end, a 131 gallon air receiver and an integrated refrigerated dryer, mounted, wired and plumbed together at the factory. It delivers 92.2 CFM at a 150 PSI maximum and runs at 69 dBA. There is no separate tank or dryer to size, site and pipe, so installation comes down to setting it in place, landing one electrical connection and connecting your air line. Assembled it measures 75 x 31 x 72 in and weighs 1330 lbs. Power is 208-230-460V three-phase.

Why 150 PSI, and what it costs you
Pressure and flow trade against each other on the same air end. At 150 PSI this machine gives 92.2 CFM; the 125 PSI build of the identical package gives 98.9 CFM. You are spending close to 7 CFM of airflow, and the energy behind it every hour the compressor runs, to buy the extra 25 PSI. Buy it when something real needs the pressure: press and clamp circuits, higher pressure tooling, a shop that runs at 120 PSI at the drop rather than 90, or a long distribution run where line loss eats into delivered pressure before the air reaches the tool. If every drop is regulated down to 90 or 100 PSI anyway, the 125 PSI build is the better machine and the cheaper one to own.
What the tank and dryer package changes
Every rotary screw sends warm, saturated air downstream, and that water is what rusts piping, freezes air logic, pits tooling and ruins a paint finish. Solving it piecemeal means sizing a receiver, buying a dryer, finding floor space for both, then wiring and plumbing them to the compressor. On the TMD build all three arrive as one matched assembly: the receiver sits under the compressor, the dryer is mounted and wired with it, and the footprint stays 75 x 31 in rather than three separate machines spread along a wall. The cost is height and weight, 72 in tall and 1330 lbs, so check door clearance and floor loading before delivery. If a filter stack and an oil water separator are also going in, plan their wall space when you lay the machine out.
Why a screw instead of another piston
A piston compressor builds air in bursts and needs time to cool between them. A rotary screw is rated for continuous duty, so it holds a flat line pressure through a full shift instead of sagging and recovering between jobs. At 25 HP that difference is the whole point: this is a machine for a shop drawing air most of the day, not one that tops up a receiver now and then. A screw dislikes short cycling, which is part of why the matched receiver matters, and it wants a demand pattern that keeps it loaded.
How it compares
Within the AS-B range the choices around this machine are pressure, mounting and dryer. The AS-25253TMD is the same package set for 125 PSI, trading pressure for flow at 98.9 CFM in an identical cabinet at the same 1330 lbs. If you already own a correctly sized receiver, the AS-25503BMD is the same 92.2 CFM air end and dryer without the tank, at 831 lbs and 55 x 31 x 49 in, and the AS-25503BM drops the dryer as well at 723 lbs and 44 x 31 x 49 in. Either side on horsepower at the same 150 PSI, the AS-20S503TMD gives 78 CFM at a quieter 67 dBA and 1297 lbs, and the AS-30503TMD gives 103.1 CFM at 70 dBA and 1365 lbs in the same 75 x 31 x 72 in footprint. At 92.2 CFM the AS-25 is the machine for a shop that has outgrown 20 HP but does not need a full 30 HP service.
Typical applications
Production and fabrication floors, machine shops running several CNC cells, automotive and fleet service bays, tire and truck shops, plasma tables, packaging lines, sandblasting, and spray finishing or powder coating where moisture in the line spoils tools, air logic or finish quality. The 150 PSI rating suits shops where the distribution run is long, where press and clamp circuits sit on the same system as handheld tools, or where a 125 PSI machine has been struggling to hold pressure at the far end of the building. At 92.2 CFM it will carry a bank of air ratchets and sanders, a continuous blow off, a blast cabinet, or several cells drawing at once through a full shift. Drying the air at the compressor keeps condensate out of the distribution piping instead of leaving it for traps and filters downstream to catch.
What to pair it with
Give the cabinet clear air on the cooling side, keep the room out of the heat, and run the unit on its own circuit sized to the motor nameplate; at 25 HP the electrical install is worth planning before the machine arrives. Oil, oil filter and separator element are the service items. Behind the dryer, a coalescing filter protects paint and instrument air, and a condensate drain plus an oil water separator keeps the water the dryer pulls out of your floor and out of the drain line.
