The ABAC ABC10-23120VFF puts the 10 HP Ironman on a 120 gallon vertical ASME tank and adds ABAC's Full Feature protection package, so the machine looks after itself between shifts. The C2 four cylinder V shape cast iron pump delivers 32 CFM at a maximum 175 PSI. The vertical layout puts that storage into a compact floor footprint, which is what most shops want when wall and bay space is already committed and there is ceiling height to spare. This is a three-phase machine only. Choose 230V three-phase (ABC10-23120VFF), 460V three-phase (ABC10-43120VFF), or 575V three-phase (ABC10-53120VFF).

What Full Feature adds
Full Feature is ABAC's protection package, and on this build it is three things. The automatic tank drain clears condensate out of the bottom of the 120 gallon receiver without anyone opening a petcock, which is the maintenance step shops skip most often and the one that rusts a tank from the inside out. The low oil level automatic shut off stops the motor before the pump runs dry, so a slow leak or a missed oil check does not cost a crankshaft. The belt guard aftercooler drops discharge temperature before the air reaches the tank, so a large share of the moisture drops out in the receiver instead of travelling downstream into tools, filters and spray equipment. Mechanically this is the same 10 HP motor and the same C2 pump as the standard ABC10 vertical. Full Feature changes what the machine does between shifts, not what it delivers.
Why the cast iron pump matters
ABAC builds the Ironman pump with fully cast iron construction and a four cylinder V shape arrangement, which is what lifts this 10 HP machine to 32 CFM. Cast iron cylinders carry heat away better than aluminium and tolerate the long loaded runs that a production bay imposes, which is most of the reason a 10 HP Ironman weighs 765 lbs. That weight is the trade: this is a machine to anchor in one place and pipe properly, not one to move around.
How it compares
The same 10 HP Ironman and the same 32 CFM at 175 PSI are also sold on a horizontal receiver. The 120 gallon horizontal Full Feature is 728 lbs at 27 x 74 x 50 in, so it sits low and long under a mezzanine or along a wall, while this vertical build is 765 lbs at 30 x 41 x 74 in and gives back the floor. Airflow is identical, so pick on the space you have. If the Full Feature additions are not needed, the standard ABC10 vertical is the same pump and tank without the automatic drain, low oil shut off or aftercooler. Below this sits the 7.5 HP ABC7-2180V2FF at 24 CFM on an 80 gallon vertical tank, which is the right call when the duty is one or two tools at a time rather than a full bay. Alongside it, the ABC5-21120HD duplex reaches the same 32 CFM from two 5 HP pumps on one 120 gallon horizontal tank, which buys alternating control and a second pump to fall back on rather than more air, though only on a horizontal footprint.
Typical applications
Production shops, fabrication and welding bays, truck and fleet maintenance, tire shops running multiple lifts, and any operation where several air tools or a plasma cutter draw at the same time and the compressor needs to hold pressure through the shift rather than recover between jobs. The 120 gallon receiver cuts motor starts and holds a steadier line pressure than an 80 gallon build, which matters most on intermittent duty where a smaller tank would short cycle the pump. The Full Feature build suits shops that would rather not rely on someone remembering to drain the tank or check the oil.
Sizing the air treatment
An aftercooler knocks a good share of the water out of the air, but it does not dry it. On a 32 CFM machine feeding paint, plasma or pneumatic instruments, follow the compressor with a refrigerated dryer rated at or above its output: the ABAC COOL 35 is rated 35 CFM and runs on a standard 115V outlet, so it covers this machine with margin to spare. Add a filter regulator at each drop and run the take offs off the top of the header so condensate stays in the main. Part of ABAC's Ironman cast iron range from the Atlas Copco group.
