The OSD outlet screen is a service part for the outlet end of a Super-Dry D Series single-tower desiccant dryer. Super-Dry supplies it for the two larger models in the range, the D3 and the D4. It is the kind of part worth replacing during a cartridge change rather than after it has already caused a restriction.
How it works
A D Series dryer finishes its cycle with a second stage of filtration that removes desiccant dust before the air leaves the housing, the last step after the coalescer element, felt pads, stainless steel grids and sewed desiccant bag have done their work. The outlet screen belongs to the hardware at that end of the dryer. Because the housing opens at the stainless steel clamp, you can inspect the screen every time you change the cartridge, and replace it if it is damaged, deformed or blocked.
