The PS40 pressure switch is preset to a 145 to 175 PSI range and rated for a robust 29 amps, suited to higher pressure compressors with larger motors. It cuts the motor in at 145 PSI and out at 175 PSI to hold the system near its target pressure.
Choosing a switch with the right amp rating protects the contacts from arcing and premature failure. Compare this against lower ranges and ratings across our air compressor pressure switches, and pair it with an unloader valve if your setup requires one.
