This is an equivalent GR 10 coalescing element built to replace Performance Filtration 6162.
Coalescing elements handle the contamination that a dust filter cannot touch, namely the suspended oil aerosol and water mist carried along in the air stream. The media gathers those fine droplets together until gravity can take them to the bowl, which is why a coalescing housing needs a working drain to do its job.
Plan these on a replacement schedule rather than waiting for a differential pressure reading, since a coalescer saturates with liquid well before it shows a meaningful pressure rise. Keeping a spare on the shelf avoids running past the interval. We stock a wide selection of coalescing filters and elements, plus the housings and other compressed air filters that go with them.
