Thermostatic Valve Kit, 83°C (K2)
This thermostatic valve kit (part number 2901350050, K2 variant) is a service replacement for the oil thermostatic valve in a rotary screw air compressor. Its element is calibrated to open at approximately 83°C, about 181°F, a higher set point suited to warmer ambient conditions.
Like all oil thermostatic valves, it holds the compressor's oil injection temperature in the correct band: bypassing the oil cooler during cold starts for fast warm-up, then opening to send oil through the cooler once it reaches temperature. Keeping oil hot enough to stay above the water dew point, yet cool enough to protect the airend, is essential to reliable operation and long separator life. The kit supplies the valve and its service seals.
You will find this part alongside other maintenance items for rotary screw air compressors. Send us your model and serial number and we can verify the right set point before shipping.
