Prevost PPS1 FT Female Thread Body for Compact Connections
The Prevost PPS1 FT female thread body takes a large-diameter compact connection and terminates it in a female NPT thread. It is the transition piece you use where an aluminum PPS pipe run needs to feed a threaded component — a valve, a regulator, a drop leg, a filter housing, or a piece of equipment with a male NPT inlet.
These bodies are part of the Prevost PPS 100% aluminum network, the modular compressed air piping platform built around fast installation, corrosion resistance, and strong flow. They pair with the PPS1 CC compact connection collar, which does the clamping and sealing on the pipe itself.
Female Thread, Not Male
This is the female-threaded version. If you need a male NPT termination instead, that is the PPS1 MT male thread body, sold separately. Matching the wrong gender is the most common ordering mistake on this part, so check the fitting you are mating to before selecting.
Industrial Aluminum Construction
Aluminum construction matches the rest of the PPS system and avoids the internal rust and scale that accumulate in older steel piping. That matters because the condition of the pipework directly affects pressure stability, air cleanliness, and downstream equipment protection. Rated for compressed air, vacuum, and neutral gases.
Key Features
- Genuine Prevost female thread body for PPS compact connections
- Female NPT outlet from 1/2" through 3"
- Fits 2", 2 1/2", 3", 4", and 6" pipe OD
- Aluminum construction, lightweight compared to steel fittings
- Works with the PPS1 CC compact connection collar
- Suitable for compressed air, vacuum, and neutral gas service
- Sold individually
Performance Range
The Prevost PPS system supports an operating pressure range from vacuum service up to 232 psi and a temperature range from -4°F to 176°F.
Best Uses
- Feeding threaded valves, regulators, and filters from a main line
- Drop legs off large-diameter headers
- Machine and equipment supply connections
- Compressor room piping terminations
- Transitions between aluminum pipe and threaded assemblies
Installation Notes
Select by pipe outside diameter first, then by the female NPT size you need. Use the matching PPS1 CC compact connection collar on the pipe side. Apply appropriate thread sealant on the NPT connection and avoid over-tightening aluminum threads.
