Donaldson / Ultrafilter GR 4 Coalescing Element 1C486150
This coalescing filter element replaces Donaldson / Ultrafilter 1C486150. It is supplied as an element only, sized to a specific housing in the series.
The GR 4 marking is a media grade rather than a dimension, and the YE letters in the crossover number are part of that same grading scheme. Because more than one housing size can share a similar crossover, order to the number printed on the element you are removing.
A coalescing element gathers oil and water aerosols into droplets that drain out of the housing, which is the stage that protects downstream equipment from the fine oil carryover a compressor produces. Bulk oil separation is a separate job, handled by an air oil separator at the compressor itself.
