The Conrader TCLP is a heavy-duty, large-body cable-style throttle control — commonly called a "bullwhip" — built for gas-engine-driven air compressors rated 8 to 13 HP. When the air receiver reaches cut-out pressure, the pilot/unloader valve actuates the cable and pulls the engine throttle back to idle; when pressure drops to cut-in, the spring returns the engine to full speed. This auto-idle action saves fuel, cuts noise, and reduces engine wear during the compressor's off-load cycles.
This is the eyelet-end version with a 1" stroke and a larger valve body than the under-8 HP TCP series, giving it the throw and spring force needed for bigger Honda, Kohler, Briggs and similar engines.
