A replacement air/oil separator element crossed to Chicopee Engineering CEA1032A, supplied here under Air Supply Number KV700-006. It serves the same duty as the original, pulling lubricant back out of the air stream at the discharge end of a lubricated screw compressor.
Separator elements do not fail loudly. They blind off gradually, so the first signs are a rising pressure drop across the separator tank, oil top-ups landing closer together, and traces of oil turning up in downstream filter bowls. Once any of those show, the element is costing you energy every hour it stays in service.
Change it with fresh compressor oil and a new oil filter, and confirm the scavenge line and its orifice are clear before restarting. More crossovers are listed in our air/oil separators range, and the machines they serve are grouped under rotary screw air compressors.
