BEKO Coalescing Element FE831X1
This is an equivalent replacement coalescing cartridge for BEKO filter housings built around the FE831X1 element. Its job is to strip the oil aerosols and suspended water droplets that a particulate stage leaves behind, gathering them together until they are heavy enough to drop out of the air stream and drain from the bowl.
X1 is a media designation rather than a size. The 831 body is shared with the AC and XA builds, and those builds behave differently even though they physically fit the same housing, so always order to the code stamped on the element you are replacing. Expect the pressure drop across a coalescing element to climb slowly as it collects contaminant, which is normal and is the usual signal to plan a change. Stocking a spare avoids running a saturated cartridge, and you can find matching sizes among our other air filter elements.
