Particulate Removal Air Filters for Dust and Debris Control
Particulate compressed air filters – often called general-purpose filters – are the first line of defense between your air compressor and everything downstream. Sized correctly, these filters strip out dust, rust, pipe scale, and other solid contaminants from around 5 microns down into the sub-micron range, protecting your piping, dryers, regulators, and tools.
When air is compressed, the volume shrinks but the dirt does not. The particles that drift harmlessly in ambient air get packed into dense clouds that will hammer through valves and seals if you do not stop them. General-purpose particulate filters exist to catch those solids before they ever reach your equipment.
