The ABAC AS-15503TMD is the all in one version of ABAC's 15 HP AS-B screw compressor set up for higher pressure: compressor, 131 gallon receiver and air dryer built onto a single frame and shipped as one machine. It delivers 46.4 CFM at a 150 PSI maximum and runs at 69 dBA on 208-230-460V three-phase power. Because the dryer is already plumbed and wired into the package, there is no second unit to size, site, pipe or power, and the air leaving the discharge is already dry. At 871 lbs in a 76 x 27 x 62 in footprint it occupies roughly the floor space of the tank alone.

Why 150 PSI, and what it costs you
Pressure and airflow trade against each other on the same air end. The 150 PSI build of this machine carries 46.4 CFM where the 125 PSI build carries 52.1 CFM, from identical hardware in an identical cabinet at the same 871 lbs. Buy the pressure only if a tool, a press, a clamp or a test stand genuinely needs it. If nothing on the floor asks for more than 125 PSI, the lower pressure build gives you about 12 percent more air for the same power draw. Where 150 PSI is the requirement, running it here rather than regulating down from a 175 PSI machine keeps the compressor off its least efficient operating point.
Why the dryer belongs on the compressor
A rotary screw is rated for 100 percent duty, so it holds line pressure through a full shift instead of recovering between jobs. It also pushes warm, saturated air into the piping, and that water condenses out in the lines rather than in the compressor room. Drying at the source keeps condensate out of the distribution piping altogether instead of leaving traps, filters and drip legs downstream to catch it. In a paint booth, a powder coating line or a plasma table, that is the difference between a clean part and a reject.
How it compares
Within the 15 HP AS-B range the pressure, the mounting and the dryer all move independently. The AS-15503TM is the same compressor and the same tank without the dryer, at 776 lbs, and the AS-15503BM is the bare base mount machine at 478 lbs for shops that already own a receiver. Moving on pressure trades airflow: the AS-15253TMD gives 52.1 CFM at 125 PSI and the AS-15753TMD gives 41.7 CFM at 175 PSI, both in the identical cabinet. If the tool list calls for more air at this same 150 PSI, the AS-20503TMD steps up to 20 HP and 54 CFM at 71 dBA. Pick on pressure first, then on CFM, then on whether the tank and dryer come in the package or get bought separately.
Typical applications
Paint and finishing work, powder coating, plasma cutting, pneumatic controls and instrument air, press and clamp circuits that will not hold at 125 PSI, and any shop where moisture in the line shows up as a defect in the finished part. The 131 gallon receiver gives the machine room to ride out short bursts of heavy demand without short cycling, and at 69 dBA the package is quiet enough to sit near the point of use rather than in a dedicated compressor room.
What to pair it with
The dryer and the receiver are already in the box, so what is left is drainage, filtration and pipe. Put a condensate drain on the tank and the dryer so the water they knock out actually leaves the system, add coalescing and particulate filtration downstream if the air feeds paint or instruments, and run aluminum compressed air pipe so the distribution side does not put rust back into air you just dried. Size the piping for 46.4 CFM at the far end of the run, not at the compressor. See the rest of the rotary screw air compressors. Call us with your tool list and duty cycle and we will confirm sizing, connection sizes and installation clearances before you pipe it in.
