ELGi Element - Adsorber - ECFP65E
The ECFP65E is the activated carbon adsorber cartridge for the corresponding ELGi in-line filter housing. Carbon is the final polish in a compressed air train, adsorbing the oil vapor and odor that pass through mechanical filtration untouched.
Getting the order of stages right protects your investment. Carbon fills with vapor, so liquid arriving from a tired coalescing stage is capacity thrown away. Keep the coalescing filter element ahead of it current, and where the specification calls for very dry air, look at the desiccant air dryers that hold a low pressure dew point through the whole run.
Replace this element on a fixed interval. A spent carbon bed does not restrict flow, so the gauge will read normal while oil vapor passes through. ECFP65E and ECFP20E are different sizes and are not interchangeable, so match the code on the cartridge in hand.
