The ACF225D is the activated carbon adsorber cartridge for its matching housing size in the ACF filter line. Its job is oil vapor and odor removal, the last step before compressed air reaches work that cannot tolerate any trace of lubricant.
Carbon only works on vapor, so the mechanical stages ahead of it carry real weight. Keep the coalescing filter element upstream on its own interval, and where the process needs a genuinely low dew point, pair the train with desiccant air dryers rather than relying on filtration alone.
Change this element on a schedule. Carbon capacity fades without a pressure drop to warn you, so the gauge stays normal while oil vapor slips downstream. ACF225D, ACF30D and ACF20D are separate sizes and do not substitute for each other.
