A replacement coalescing element crossing to Donaldson / Ultrafilter part number 1C486130. It refits an existing filter housing, which keeps a filtration station in service without the expense of a new vessel or any pipe work.
GR 4 is a media grade, not a size. The grade sets how fine the element filters and the part number sets which housing it fits. Both have to match, so read the code on the cartridge you remove rather than ordering by housing model.
Coalescing media works by merging fine liquid aerosols into drops large enough to fall out of the air stream and drain away. That is a different mechanism from straining, and it is what makes a coalescing stage worth having downstream of the compressor.
