This is an equivalent GR 10 grade coalescing element for the Donaldson/ultrafilter ST4/2.5 housing. The GR number designates the media grade, so a GR 10 cartridge is not interchangeable with a GR 4 or GR 6 element of the same physical size even though it will drop into the same bore.
Coalescing elements work by merging fine oil and water aerosol into droplets large enough to fall to the sump and drain away, which is what protects the equipment downstream. See coalescing filter elements for the rest of the range, and air dryers for the drying stage that normally follows.
Change coalescing elements on the differential pressure gauge or at the interval in your maintenance schedule, whichever comes first. Confirm both the size code and the grade on the cartridge you are replacing before ordering.
