Donaldson / Ultrafilter Adsorber Element AK4/2.5
This is the size 2.5 activated carbon adsorber element for the ultrafilter AK4 series, replacing part number AK4/2.5. It is sold as a bare element for a housing you already have installed.
The job of a carbon adsorber is oil vapour removal at the tail end of a treatment train. Because the carbon saturates rather than clogs, differential pressure will not tell you when the element is spent. Follow the replacement interval the housing manufacturer publishes.
AK4 sizes are not interchangeable, so order to the code stamped on the element rather than by housing family. For the drying and coalescing stages that must sit upstream, see our air dryers and coalescing filter elements.
